  <oldcomment>Quartermaine's Stables, Bear Lane. Nobody lives there now; at one
  time it appears to have been a forge. Unfortunately, there seems to have been
  some slight halation or reflection into the lens from the sky; O for a
  camera which takes a lens hood.

  <newcomment>Even before the Christ Church elms were felled, these stables
  were razed to make way for a smart new annexe to house Lincoln
  College undergraduates. Searching for more information on Google recovered
  only
  <a href="http://www.oxfordinscriptions.com/new_page_1.htm">this</a> &#8212;
  so I hope that this collection may do a modest something for the online
  history of Oxford.
